Why so many egg whites?
To add low-calorie, low-fat protein compared to whole eggs
Why Whole wheat everything?
Whole wheat and regular flour are similar in calories but whole wheat adds more nutrients and fiber to the diet. This goes the same with brown rice versus white rice.
Why is cheese not added to nutrition?
Cheese is an EXTRA which means it is high in fat and calories. It is to be avoided as much as possible and only added if you need that extra flavor.
What if I add cheese anyway?
For each tablespoon add about 25 calories and 2 grams of fat
Why sweet potatoes instead of white potatoes?
The starch in white potatoes will spike your blood sugar similar to regular sugar. The starch in sweet potatoes is slightly different and does not spike blood sugars as much.
